Here's America's 6th Generation Fighter Jets to Replace The F-22 Raptor And F-35 Lightning II

Here's America's 6th Generation Fighter Jets to Replace The F-22 Raptor And F-35 Lightning II

Here's America's 6th Generation Fighter Jets to Replace The F-22 Raptor And F-35 Lightning II.

The Air Force and the Navy both fly the 5th generation F-35 jet, with the Air Force also being the sole user of the F-22 Raptor, perhaps the world’s stealthiest jet fighter. Despite the airframe’s dominance, work is already underway on a 6th generation fighter. Little is known about either the Navy or Air Force 6th generation fighter programs—and this worries the House Armed Services Committee. According to work done on the Fiscal Year 2021 defense policy bill, up to 85% of the funding requested for the NGAD programs could be withheld until an independent review is done.

But what are the programs like? Though both branches’ programs share the same name, Next Generation Air Dominance, this is where the similarities likely end.

HP OfficeJet Pro 6970 Review

HP OfficeJet Pro 6970 Review

HP OfficeJet Pro 6970 Review: Features

Its head office bias is reflected in sensible features, such as a 225-sheet paper tray at its base, a 35-sheet duplex ADF at the top, and an ink supply that can hold up to 1,500 black pages or 825 colors. On the front there is a USB port, but you can only print photos from the inserted USB drive - not PDFs or other documents.

The OfficeJet Pro 6970 seems much wider than necessary and it's not the most user-friendly MFP. The large paper tray is difficult to load unless you remove two blue hooks near the back and pull it out. The lid doubles as an output tray and locks well to help you reload. However, the two parts of the telescope felt too loose and tended to stick for a moment as we lengthened or pulled it.

HP OfficeJet Pro 6970 Review: Specifications

It's a fast printer for its price, reaching 4.7ppm in our color graphics testing, and producing black text at an impressive 18.5ppm. Fast copy in black, with a mono ten-page job takes only 89 seconds, but the color version takes twice as long and the duplex color copy edges at 2.1ppm.

HP's scanning interface relies too heavily on shortcuts and is too proscriptive, allowing only a predetermined set of resolution options. 6970 spent nearly five minutes scanning our 1,200dpi photos before giving up and not returning the image. We reset the host PC, reinstalled the HP driver and retryed it over a wired Ethernet connection, but the problem persists.

Scan quality is generally good, although our 600dpi photo scans look as if they are too sharpened and appear artificial when viewed at 100%. We were also disappointed with the faint tape that appeared in some graphic prints on plain paper

Color photos are great for non-specialist devices, but our black-and-white prints have a different green color. Using the highest capacity inventory, the 6970 costs around 6.8p to print mixed text pages and colour graphics - a few pence cheaper than usual at this price.

Performance HP OfficeJet Pro 6970

Setting up your device is as easy as you get. A very rich driver interface visually guides you through the process. During setup, you can link OfficeJet Pro 6970 using Wi-Fi, USB or LAN. The driver automatically detects our office Wi-Fi and connects the printer without manual intervention.

One of the most impressive things about OfficeJet Pro 6970 is its touch panel. You can control all the functions of an all-in-one device from the panel. It even includes a mini tutorial to fix any problems you might encounter such as low ink levels or jammed paper.

So, how does the HP all-in-one perform?

Whether it's plain paper or shiny photo paper, the printing quality of the OfficeJet Pro 6970 is the best we've ever seen. At the highest quality settings and without manual calibration, this results in very bright colors that perfectly match our reference images. Even on very thin 70 grams of plain paper, black text is equally impressive. There is not the slightest distortion or dissipation in the edges of the font.

OfficeJet Pro 6970 is also very fast. Although with high quality settings using plain paper, the printer only takes less than a minute to print in duplex mode. Printing using glossy photo paper (on the one hand) also takes less than a minute per page.

But there's a problem with the OfficeJet Pro 6970. And this is a big problem - the printing costs are relatively high.

HP sells cartridges of various sizes for this all-in-one printer. The largest 'XL' color cartridges cost around RM73 each. In our tests, yellow cartridges ran out after just 80 pages. So, at least in our tests, this puts the cost of color printing using OfficeJet Pro 6970 a little less than RM1 per page. This is certainly higher than other printers on the market including all-in-one from competitor manufacturers.

The cost of black printing is slightly better. HP's largest 'XXL' black ink cartridge costs RM175. In our tests, it started to dry out after 320 pages.

Indeed, our tests are designed to be heavy and drive device performance to be compared to other similar printers on the market. If you run a small office that doesn't have a heavy printing load, chances are you'll find that officeJet Pro 6970 costs a lot more economically.

Excluding relatively high operating costs, OfficeJet Pro 6970 is a fast and versatile all-in-one printer suitable for small or medium businesses.

HP OFFICEJET PRO 8600 E-ALL-IN-ONE REVIEW

HP OFFICEJET PRO 8600 E-ALL-IN-ONE

Although there are some flaws in the output quality, the HP Officejet Pro 8600 E-All-in-One business MFP can be suitable for small offices

Paper Handling and size

The paper handling at 8600 is excellent for price and is suitable for most micro offices, with a built-in print duplexer for printing on both sides of the page and the 250-sheet tray. For offices requiring more, you can add a second tray (direct $79.99) to increase capacity to 500 sheets. As with the 8600 Plus, 8600 includes an automatic document feeder (ADF), with a capacity of 35 pages in this case, to complement the flatbed for scanning. However, one of the fancy features it left behind is the duplexing for the ADF, so there is no easy way to scan the original printed documents on either side of the page.

As with the 8600 Plus, the 8600 is large and large for the inkjet MFP, with 11.8 x 19.4 x 18.9 inches, so you might want it near your desk than on it. Assuming you have room for it, the setting is very standard.

Speed and Output quality

8600 is a little slower than the 8600 Plus, but not less impressive at a lower price. In our business application package (using the QualityLogic hardware and software to determine the time), I recorded it on 5.7 effective pages per minute (ppm), making it almost tied to 8600 Plus at 5.9 ppm.

In reviewing 8600 Plus, I noted that a number of lasers are more expensive than slower; That statement is even more applicable for the cheaper 8600. Editors ' Choice (direct $419.99, 4 star), for example, managed only 4.5 ppm. Also note that the 8600 also works well on the photo speed, averaging 54 seconds to 4 x 6.

The quality of the printer output, unfortunately, is a mixed pouch. The text above is par for inkjet, the graphics output is below par, and the photo is hardly qualified. Text is quite easy for most business needs. Also very worthy of mention is that it is waterproof, at least on the ColorLok paper. In my tests, it was just a little smudged when I rub it with wet tissues.

Image quality is good enough for internal business use. However the vast majority of images in our tests show clear lines in default mode. I was hesitant to hand over the results to an important client or customer that I tried to impress with my sense of professionalism.

Photos are also quite easy for almost any business need, but photos on photo paper are at the bottom end of what you expect from a drugstore mold. The biggest problem I've seen is with shadow details (details in dark areas), which do not show very well.

Other issues

One last strong point that 8600 shares with 8600 Plus is the low-claimed operational cost, i.e. 1.6 cents per page black and white and 7.2 cents per page color. It was cheaper than 2.8 cents for black and white and 8.2 cents for the color that Kodak claimed to be the main selling point for its MFP. Printing quite a lot of pages, and its operational costs can make 8600 cheaper for lifetime life than the cheaper MFP, much less capable of higher cost per page.

Unfortunately, I also saw one serious problem with the 8600, and I saw it with two different printers. Just out of the box, both printers have clogged nozzles that need to be cleaned before printing with the best quality. The problem is very bad with the first printer that I tested, even after running three levels of printer cleanup routine four times, I can not get rid of it, although it improves with each cleaning. With the second printer, I had to run all three levels twice, after which the problem was gone.

The fact that the problem arises on two different printers means you can't ignore it as a coincidence. But it also shows that it may be a problem that is easily fixed on the HP production line, with some particles getting into the ink system and clogging the nozzles. HP says it is investigating this problem, and, if it can replicate the problem, it will do what it needs to fix it.

Best Laser Printer for 2019

Best Laser Printer for 2019

How to buy a fast horse Laser

Laser printing has been experiencing difficulties in recent years. The pace of innovation with this older printer technology (the limitation of tweaking for toner formulations) has slowed to a crawl. Plus, a high-speed business inkjet printer with a low cost per page, like the one on HP PageWide, has been eating a laser printer lunch — and is now eyeing their dinner.

However, laser printers remain relevant to focusing on their traditional strengths: fast print speeds and reasonable cost per page (especially for text output), as well as a very clean display of finished products. On the downside, lasers often have a much higher upfront cost, and they are not able to like inkjet printers in reproducing subtle gradients in complex color outputs such as photographs.

Brother HL-L8360CDW

So who will find a laser printer proposition that is more attractive than inkjet? In most cases, it's not a person looking for a printer that is occasionally used for a variety of tasks: at some time to print a personal email, next to copy a colored image from a book, or to print a photo. Laser is more suited for bulk text output: Contracts, long research papers, book drafts. If you print a lot of great work, and still use text and clean the image rather than a color photograph, the laser printer is the right pair.

It's also great if high-quality text printing is most important. Indeed, some types of businesses, such as medical offices, may require laser printing for archival tasks and record keeping.

What type of Laser do you need?
You can break the laser into four main types, defined by two questions: (1) is this the only laser printer, or can it make a color? And, (2) is it just a printer, or an all-in-one (AIO) model that can print, scan, and copy (and possibly handle faxes)? The laser Model is in all four combinations.

The Model  "Special printer " is good and nice; They are all about sheer text or the output of business documents with the exclusion of all others. If all you need is a relatively uncomplicated pile of documents, they're fine for that. They fall into two rough classes: inexpensive units intended for home use or students (usually monochrome), and larger models designed for home offices, small offices, or working groups (which come in mono-only and varieties color).

Lexmark B2338DW

In contrast, the all-in-one laser (often abbreviated  "AIO ") is a more varied animal. You can find an AIO laser monochrome and color, but when you are talking about a mono laser AIO, there is a mismatch in function inherent there. AIO Laser is obviously only prints in black and white, but they can scan in color, as well as make monochrome copies of all kinds of source material, such as standard copier cans. In a particular sense, a mono-AIO laser combines the cost efficiency of a mono laser (which only requires one color toner, black) with the comfort factor brought by AIO. You just need to know what you are facing before buying one of them.

AIO laser Color, meanwhile, carries most of the inkjet AIO function and combines it with clean text known as laser, as well as stain-resistant color output. However, be aware that a color laser toner can be a rechargeable time investment, often exceeding the cost of a printer. It's something to think about if you rarely use the color printing function, because the four cartridges (black, plus cyan, magenta, and yellow toner) can be an option.

HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M180nw

Know that almost all inkjet color photos will be superior to the quality than the color photos printed on the colour laser. Colour photographs printed with a laser tend to look flat. The power of color laser output is in printing text, business graphs, graphs, and the like. So a color laser — given the additional cost of color toner — makes sense to buy only if you're sure you need that kind of color output. HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M180nw
